FARMERS MARKET
With the help of grandaughter Sage Ella we started marketing. Over the season we found ourselves with regular customers who liked our vegetables and recipe and nutrition sheets. The produce changed with the passing of the season. The eggs just grew bigger. And we got our USDA Organic certification! Our ferny-headed carrots were a great late-summer success and so were the mixed salad greens. The braided onions hanging on the umbrella are keepers. Some are still hanging in our midwinter pantry. |

FENCES AND MORE
FENCES We replaced the aging perimeter fencing around the 15 acres of pastures. Next we will electrify it, hopefully with solar power. Then comes the interior paddock fencing allowing us to rotate our grazing animals. For more information on roational grazing grass-fed livestock, go to Project Grass, but come on back! |

WHY DID THE CHICKEN CROSS THE ROAD? It never happened!! Stephen told them NO with chicken wire to back him up. |
|||||
Once done, the fence will keep our dog Wyatt in. It will be backed with chicken wire so the chickens can go in the garden to clean up after harvest. |
PRETTY AND PRACTICAL
Stephen has long wanted a
white three-rail fence to complete the roadside look of the farm.
This warm winter, his brother Ron came up from Alabama to help him. ![]() |
