I have
successfully mediated hundreds of cases over the past fourteen years;
many of my clients now come to me by referral. As a mediation trainer,
certified by the NYS Unified Court System, I've trained hundreds
of lawyers, judges, therapists and community members in mediation.
I am also a selected panelist mediating Title VII Equal Employment
Opportunity cases for the US Postal Service and a certified mediator
for the Manhattan and Brooklyn Mediation Centers.
I also
completed sixteen hours of training in representing clients in the
collaborative law process of negotiating divorces, and am a member
of the New York Collaborative Law Group.
I am
a former professor of mediation at Brooklyn Law School and the former
Director of Victim Services Mediation Program, which mediated over
5000
cases annually in New York City. I also served on the Board of Directors
for the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York.
Before
turning to mediation, I was a corporate lawyer for two nationally
known law firms in New York and San Francisco. I'm a member of the
New York and California Bars and graduated from New York Law School
in 1985 where I was a member of the Law Review.
I am
an advanced practitioner member of the Academy of Family Mediators,
a member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators,
Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York, the Family
Section of the NYS Bar Association and the Family and Divorce Mediation
Council of NYS.
