Like many workers, Al forms a complex with other workers. In Al's case, the
other worker is another copy of Al. Each copy of Al is made separately, but when they run into each
other, they stick. In the body, Al is always found in this two-some,
called a dimer.
The two copies of Al are shown in light and dark blue. Each of them is holding onto a molecule of NAD (medium blue and orange) and a molecule of cyclohexyl alcohol (red and yellow). |
