Why Choose LED?

LEDs significantly reduce the labor and material costs incurred by repeated bulb changes. The LED has an average life of 100,000 hours, which is more than 11 years of burning (24-hours per day). While initially more costly than incandescent bulbs, they quickly pay for themselves through lower maintenance costs and lower power use. LED bulbs and pilot lights are solid-state. They are better able to withstand physical shocks, vibration, and temperature extremes than are incandescent indicator bulbs.

Why Choose Incandescent?

When the bulb is easily replaced, when long bulb life is not a consideration, and when low purchase price is important, the incandescent bulb is a very useful product. Because the incandescent bulb emits “white” light that includes some amount of all the colors of the spectrum, a single product can function under a variety of different-colored lenses. The color of an LED must match the color of the lens for optimal performance. Ordering very small quantities of LED bulbs may incur minimums that may put them at a severe disadvantage when comparing prices.
