Molly gently played tug-o-war with Caly.  She'd finally reach an understanding that she wouldn't break the puppy if she played with her.

Such a strong and determined little pup!  That BIG Molly dog wasn't going to beat her!

5 weeks have pasted since my little girl arrived home.  She's just about doubled in size . . . 13 pounds at 7 weeks old, now weighing a whopping 24.4 pounds.

Miss Caly is such a happy little girl.  Most of her pictures come out with her wearing her silly happy grin.  Or her tongue hanging out.  She's taken to sleeping on her back most of the time no matter where she is - on the bed, in the office, under the desk, in the living room, etc.

I have nick-named her Caly Bug.  She's obsessed with eating bugs and chasing centipedes in SUperCopy.  She is loving the cold concrete floor and air conditioning.  What more in life does a puppy need?

I almost forgot!  For all of you who know me, here's an amusing story for you.
Picture this:  A warm summer day (at least 80's), Robert and I took Molly and Caly to Starbucks for our mid-morning coffee break (Starbucks is just across the street from work.  Maybe 500 feet away from the air conditioning and cool bowls of water everywhere.  So many toys, they can't play with all of them in one day.)  As usual, we tied the dogs up to the fire hydrant and went in for some coffee.  We were gone 5 - 7 minutes at the most.  Meanwhile, my puppy was throwing one of her drama-queen temper tantrums at the hydrant.  I couldn't exit Starbucks until she quit her squawking.  Then I noticed someone stooping over my little Caly.  Racing out of the store, I realized It was a Seattle Police Officer.  "Can I help you with something?" I said.

(For those who don't know me, my puppy has a diaper bag with everything she could possibly need . . . and then some.  I am always OVER prepared and teased from time to time.  Okay, most of the time!)

The police officer felt that Caly was being mistreated and uncared for.  She wouldn't let me go for some time.  She just stared at me with a suspicious look and kept going on and on about how neglected this "poor puppy" was.

I wish I were as mistreated as this little Miss Caly Bug!  Thank you Seattle Police Department for your interest in my puppy.
