Half a Life

Days float by so endlessly,
I haven't even found the time to see,
The stars in the sky.

Countless years of scratching by,
Time once walked but now it flies,
And it won't tell me why.

Fear of aging, fear of death,
Facing me with every single breath,
Is this how to survive?

It feels like I'm living half a life,
Taking all my time just to,
Try to satisfy all you,
People living in my half a life.

Fortitude and perserverence,
Meaningless in all their consequence,
What went wrong?

Trying times aren't meant to test us,
They just help to feed the restless urge
To carry on.

It feels like I'm living half a life,
Taking all my time just to,
Try to satisfy all you,
People living in my half a life.

Endless Days,
And dreamless nights,
Finding ways,
To see the light,
Had I all the time,
I ever sought,
I no doubt would find,
That I was caught,

And end up just living half a life,
Taking all my time just to,
Try to satisfy all you,
People living in my half a life.

Screaming so loud you can't hear me,
Living with the fear of destiny,
Can I survive?

Taking always without giving,
Is this really the key to living right?
Is this my life?

It feels like I'm living half a life,
Taking all my time just to,
Try to satisfy all you,
People living in my half a life.
