Welcome to our Web site!About Lindenhill German Shepherd Dogs Thank you for your interest in the German Shepherd Dog and Lindenhill GSD. We are breeders who offer 20-plus years of experience in breeding, training and showing quality German Shepherd Dogs. We do not have a large kennel facility and are limited to a small number of dogs, which are all raised and live as housedogs with children, our grandchildren and us. Because we concentrate on quality, rather than quantity, we seldom raise more than one litter of puppies each year. Overpopulation of both mixed breeds and purebreds in the United States are of great concern for us as breeders. When we plan a breeding, our philosophy is to breed the best to the best—and hope for the best. As all good breeders, we are always students of the breed and devote ourselves full-time to pursuing the dogs or bitches that are sound in mind, body and spirit, and which will complement the Lindenhill line we have worked hard to develop. Our lines are United States bred and incorporate the work of the master breeders of the past. Without their dedication to the German Shepherd Dog we could not achieve the success we have enjoyed. The placing of companion animals (pet quality) is one of our most important responsibilities as breeders. For this reason we phone screen our buyers before inviting them to our home to visit puppies. We want our buyers to be as critical of us as breeders as we are of potential homes. We are signers of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America Breeders Code, as well as Breeders Code signers of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Minneapolis and St. Paul. All puppies are sold on a written contract with a two-year health guarantee. Minnesota has a good puppy lemon law to protect buyers. We strongly encourage potential GSD buyers to study the breed, do their homework, visit local dog clubs and visit many breeders and puppies before deciding to purchase a puppy. We will happily refer buyers to other good breeders and want to see the right puppy go to the right home. The show quality puppies we produce will only go to homes, which we feel have the experience, knowledge, and dedication it takes to raise a top-quality show dog. We expect all our puppies and dogs to be placed in loving homes where they can enjoy a role in the family. Needless to say, a puppy is a long-term commitment, which will bring you years and years of enjoyment. Before talking to any breeder we suggest you understand your own reasons for wanting a German Shepherd Dog, what role you want him/her to play in your life. Are you interested in obedience? Herding? Tracking? Search and Rescue, therapy or service dogs? Is your family athletic? Will you want an athletic animal that will play ball and go for hours? Or is your family more of a couch potato environment in which a laid-back dog will thrive? Do you travel often? Will the dog travel with you? A good breeder will help you choose a puppy, which has the personality to fit your lifestyle. Best regards, Web ChangesThis is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site.
