In June, 2005, Judy Langley was selected as one of the ten Literacy Champions chosen for 2005-2006.  On January 23, 2006, Judy and Jeanne ventured into Boston to attend the awards breakfast with special guests Mayor of the City of Boston, Thomas Menino and Bob Bickerton, Senior Associate Commissioner of Education for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  The keynote speaker, Julian Houston, Associate Justice of the Superior Court of Massachusetts, spoke of the power of education and the power of literacy.  Judy was honoured to have been chosen for this award and numbered with the other amazing Literacy Champions.
