Charitable Foundation!

The Literacy Program at the Plymouth Public Library is pleased to announce the receipt of a $2,500 award from the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation.

Mary Anne Odell and DonnaLee Williams

DonnaLee Williams, one of the volunteer tutors in the program, was nominated by the program for the 2003 New England Patriots Community Quarterback Award. This award was established by the National Football League and PARADE Magazine to honor individuals living in each franchise area who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to improving their communities through volunteerism.

Ms. Williams was a finalist for the award for her “unwavering support and dedication which embodies the spirit of volunteerism and the spirit of the Community Quarterback Award.” As a finalist, $2,500 will be donated in Ms. Williams name to the Plymouth Literacy Program.  She will also be honored at an official awards ceremony in February, sponsored by the Patriots Charitable Foundation.
