The Literacy Program of Greater Plymouth

Tutor Training Volunteers are trained by the program to tutor adults in reading, writing, math, and English as a second language. Tutor training is available to any adult who has a high school diploma and who is interested in helping others. The 15-hour training course is offered spring and fall, each year, in the Plymouth Public Library. Back Home

Tutoring Progam The adult tutoring program offers to Plymouth residents, individualized, confidential, "one on one" tutoring in basic reading, math, writing, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Tutoring takes place in the Plymouth Public Library. Call the Literacy Office to make an appointment to enroll. A short test will be given to determine English skills, and you will be matched with a volunteer tutor.
