Create a colorful, simple design that will reflect the beauty and fun in St.
Clair in summer or winter, i.e. water, boats, flowers, sports, events, snowmen,
snow scenes, etc.

GUIDELINES FOR ENTRIES
1.
Entry must be an original design representing the beauty and fun in St. Clair
area in a summer or winter scene, i.e. water, flowers, boats, sports, snowmen,
events, etc. No commercial
advertisements, logos or business names allowed.
2.
Each design submission should be considered finished artwork to be reproduced on
both sides of a banner, 30” wide by 94” high. To transfer art work to the
banner, the design will be projected, traced with a pencil and painted.
3.
Simple designs using bold, solid colors are the most effective. The design must
fit the size of the banner.
4.
Each design must have a title.
5.
Entries will be judged by community members. The chosen entries will reflect a
diversity of work.
6.
The public will vote to select the 1st, 2nd and 3rd
place prize winners.
REGULATIONS
1.
The design card must be submitted with the completed entry form and a $5.00
entry fee.
2.
Each design must be submitted in color on a “Design Card:” any medium weight
paper 2.5” wide by 8” high, vertical.

exterior acrylic paint will be made available in primary colors of white, red,
blue and yellow. Artists may

Also, the SCAA Public Art Committee has for sale
long sleeved T-shirts, tote bags, and bookmarks with the twenty banner finalists
from the 2009 artwork images.
The proceeds from the sale of these items help fund ongoing and future public
art projects.
