FOR SALE 1997 Pontiac Grand Am GT - Coupe 3.1 L V6 - auto, power windows, power brakes, cruise control, tilt steering 225,000 miles - many new parts, the entire cooling system has been replaced except the radiator itself, all the hoses, heater core, water pump, etc within the last 2 years. Brand new brakes on the front.
I bought the car in 2000 with 25,000 miles on it, it now has 225,000
miles, however I used this to commute to work daily, for a while down to
Plymouth Meeting, 74 miles 1 way, and then for last almost 10
years, to Lancaster up until 3 years ago it was like 34 miles one way, now
it's 47 miles 1 way. I maintained the car very well, changed the oil
religiously at 5000 miles, within 10-15,000 miles I put 4 tires on, I
can't say new because they had about 5,000 miles on them. I just did the
front brakes, in the last 2 years every part of the cooling system was
replaced except the radiator, all the hoses, water pump,
heater core. Just
put a new power window motor
in the drivers side. I also put a new A/C pump/compressor in, but never
had it charged, well I tried doing it myself, but it didn't work. The key
sticks a little to get it out of the ignition... Basically I had no
intentions of getting rid of the car as it's great on gas and has plenty
of power and is perfect for running back and forth to work. With that
being said, I have 3 kids now and my grandfather passed away about 2 years
ago now and we bought his mini-van from my grandmother so I've been
driving that, the
grand am is a 4th car and just is not needed at this point. Being
it's 13 years old it's not perfect, but still in very nice shape all
things considered...
At this point the car is not inspected, however I can't imagine it will need a single thing to pass inspection, it's also not registered, which is why it isn't inspected, I don't want to pay to get it registered, just to transfer it to be sold. Price: $1200 Link to Kelly Blue Book showing the private party value for "good" condition: PLEASE NOTE: The CD player in the car will not be in the car when it's sold, however the stock stereo with a cassette player will be there in it's place. No, I will not leave it in my name, so don't ask... Spammers don't bother I will not ship this to you. Contact me via the Craig list add or who however you got this info...
