About Us

We're fortunate to live in the Northwest with great views of Puget Sound, Mount Rainier, Mount Baker (on a clear day) and the Olympic Mountains.  These pictures were taken from our house.

I've been married (to my first wife Judy) for over 37 years.  We have two adult sons, Jay and Ben.  I am a retired manager of Information Services from The Boeing Company and Judy is still an active pharmacist working for Safeway Pharmacies.

I learned my love of woodworking while in high school where I had four years of shop classes.  After leaving high school, obtaining three college degrees including an MBA, marrying Judy, having a family, and then moving them around the world for several years, woodworking became less a hobby and more of necessity as the family grew and work ensued on remodeling and/or building a succession of houses for the family.  Finally after finishing a vacation home and no where to put my collection of wood working tools, we bought property in Olympia and had a large shop built in which I am standing in the picture to the left.

Here's a picture of my work shop from the front.  Yes we do get snow in Western Washington, although it is rare.  The shop has a full bath room, a clean room and lots of storage area.
Here's several pictures inside my shop.  Click on the picture to see an enlarged view.  When finished click anywhere on the picture to return to this page.
