The Nephron:

Functions:
1. Filtration from glomerulus into Bowman's Capsule (filtrate has same chemical composition as plasma, except for large molecules-proteins- which cannot cross membrane)
2. Secretion directly from capillary into renal tubule (molecules selectively removed)
3. Reabsorption from renal tubule into capillary (water, glucose, amino acids..)
