We hadn't been in Hawaii an hour and Mady said "we're coming back." Looks like a postcard, no? This was the view from our 4th floor room on Waikiki. The climb up Diamondhead was 560 vertical feet spread over .8 mile. It took about 30 minutes and we worked up quite a sweat but it was worth it. The view from 760 feet above see level. See pink hotel one in the middle of the picture? That's where we saw Jarod, the Subway pitchman. He was in town to film a Subway commercial. We said hi to our fellow Hoosier. When you go to Hawaii, a luau is a must. A huge buffet dinner, all the drinks you want and entertainment.
We took a sailboat ride one afternoon and saw a sea turtle. The water is the bluest we've ever seen. That's boat is very similar to the one we were on. Diamondhead looms in the background. This is the view from the lobby of our hotel on Hawaii ("the big island.")
The view looking south. This is two shots stitched together. Can you tell where?
Volcano National Park on the big island. That crater is 2 miles across!
