In April 2004 we drove down to the Great Smoky Mountains. As you can see the scenery is
beautiful. We also toured the Biltmore estate in Asheville, NC.
Many streams and rivers run through the park.
The deer were almost tame. I was about 10' from this one. He/she just wandered away when I got too close.
Hard to believe that whole families lived in cabins like this. It was about 20' x 20' square.
The Biltmore was built by Vanderbilt in the late 19th century. It has 275 rooms making it the largest single family residence in the US.
