AX84 November

The AX84 November was my second amp build.  I used a Traynor Guitarmate chassis and cabinet.  I stripped them both and used only the output tranny (later replaced with  Heyboer 18 watt OT), tube sockets, jacks and switches.  I recovered the cab in a burgundy vinyl.  Later I built a head cab and matching 1x12 speaker cab.  The combo cab speaker is a Weber C12NQ and the 1x12 holds a Weber C12B.  The latest configuration is a 1x12 with Weber C12B.

I used a tagboard for most of the components and terminal strips for the rest.  I connected some directly to the tube sockets.  A 5Y3 rectifier was used in place of the EZ81 the design called for.

The view from above (actually from below as it sits in the cabinet.)  The Hammond power tranny fit the existing mounting holes.  I had to drill holes for the choke.  The 5Y3 went were the multi-section cap can had been.  The original output tranny shown has been replaced with a Heyboer unit that has 4, 8, and 16 ohm taps.

The November "stack."  A 2x10 sits under the 1x12.  What a sound!

The November combo which is for sale.
