Moon Walking

Until recent years, it was known that the amount of light from a near full moon was significant and was even enough to allow travel after sunset.  Visitors to Loblolly Farm are often surprised to find that it's possible to go on walks after sunset using only the light from a near Full Moon.  We call this "Moon Walking".   Good dates for Moon Walking (i.e. the dates of the full moon and a couple of days before and after) can be determined from the following link.  Note that on Full Moon dates the moon usually rises about the time the sun sets.  Each day after full moon it rises 50 minutes later and each day before it rises 50 minutes earlier.  Here's to good Moon Walking.
