COST-OF-LIVING INCREASE
Effective May 26, 2008, employees represented by the IUE/CWA will receive
a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) of $0.21 per hour or $8.40 per week.
(This excludes J10 Janitors)

Since the Company refused to let our members access our website from within the plant we would like

The BWI Negotiating Committee met with management on May 1st and reached a
tentative agreement on Labor Grade 12 Machinist currently assigned to the Model Shop.
N/G SAVINGS PLAN - REFUND OF CONTRIBUTIONS
The BWI Local Negotiating Committee was advised of a Internal Revenue Service rule which effects some of our members. In order to bring the Plan into compliance with IRS regulations, a portion of the 2007 contributions made by highly compensated employees are excess contributions and must be refunded by the Company. Those individuals will be contacted by mail.
HAGERSTOWN Our Negotiating Committee met with management and received the Company's evaluations for Maintenance and Quality positions. The Company is proposing keeping those descriptions at
the current pay level.

Beirne Scholarship Applications Accepted until April 30
Applications for CWA's annual Joe Beirne Scholarship Foundation awards are now being accepted for the 2008-2009 school year. This year the foundation's Board of Directors has approved the awarding of 30 partial scholarships of up to $3,000 each. Winners will also receive second-year scholarships for the same amount contingent upon satisfactory academic achievement.
Applications must be received by April 30, 2008. Winners will be chosen by lottery from those submitting the required essay. Eligible for the scholarships are CWA members, their spouses, children and grandchildren, including the dependents of retired, laid-off, or deceased members. Additional eligibility criteria, program information, and application forms, can be found at www.cwa-union.org/members/beirne.

About Us:
Our home offices are just outside of Baltimore, Maryland. Currently, we represent employees of the Northrop Grumman Corporation at two different locations:
 Northrop Grumman Corporation's Electronics Systems Group, located in Linthicum, Maryland on the outskirts of Baltimore Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport. The BWI plant, as it's affectionately know by the workers, houses IUE-CWA workers who assemble, test and repair various radar systems for the FAA, US military, and numerous overseas customers. These systems, deployed worldwide, represent cutting edge technology in some of the finest, most reliable radar systems ever produced. Among the systems in use today are:
E3-A AWACS and Wedgetail Battlefield Control Radar Systems
F-16 and F-22 Radar and Avionics Packages
TPS-43 and TPS-75 Mobile Airspace Control Radar Systems
 Northrop Grumman's California Microwave Systems plant, located in Hagerstown, MD. This division specializes in airborne reconnaissance and surveillance systems, government ground-based satellite communications systems, communications gateway systems and mission planning. The unit's customers include the U.S. military services, other U.S. government agencies and international defense organizations. Airborne reconnaissance and surveillance systems include: radar, electro-optical systems and communications systems deployed on a variety of multifunctional manned and unmanned airborne platforms.
