Hello Everyone,

Hope you are enjoying the summer. My wife Kathryn and I went up north to participate in the UAW Local 659 Annual Walleye Tournament at AuGres, MI on Saturday, July 12th, 2008. We had a great time at the event. We shared some great times with many fellow union members.

The weather was not the best in the morning so some of the boats never got out early. However, some of the "Salty Dogs" went out anyway. When they returned in to check their fish in, they had some really big walleyes along with many nice ones, too. The food was great and Reggie did a fine job on the grill. He just may be another "Mr. Food" expert.

Kathryn, Jim Edgar and myself did go out about 4:00 pm until around 9:00 pm. They caught a total of nine walleyes. The largest was 19 ½" long. Of course, I beat a lot of water up trying.
