I recently talked with one of our members who is permanently laid off and is participating in the dislocated worker program. This program is federally funded and is designed to help workers obtain suitable employment as quickly as possible. These services are provided to workers who have lost their jobs due to a mass lay-off or permanent business closing or a natural or other disaster resulting in mass job dislocation.
