Dear Brothers and Sisters of FTD,
As all of you are aware the modifications to the 2007 national agreement have been ratified and with these modifications the implementation will be difficult and have a significant impact on how we operate in the future vs. the past.

The Committee and I are still learning of the intent and the extent it'll have on the membership. We know there are several questions and unknowns at this time. Feel free to ask questions and for clarification of the changes and we'll provide you with answers to the best of our ability. Although the modifications were difficult to accept, they were in my mind an absolute must in order to secure our chance of viability and not to leave our fate solely in the hands of the Bankruptcy Court.

On the brighter side, our DVC cell installation is still on schedule, even with the need to add additional pilings. The work load still remains light until mid to late July and then will stay busy throughout the 3rd quarter this year. Now after we complete the Volt work there still isn't any new construction coming down the pipe line.

For those members who remain on layoff, if you run into problems with unemployment or sub, please get a hold of the Benefit Rep. as soon as possible (810) 236-1621. With that, the Committee and Staff wish all of you a safe and enjoyable summer.
