Chapter Meetings - 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the Month

For the last three months I kept telling you that there would be changes in our benefits. We will no longer have Vision and Dental care. The Medicare Part B special benefit of $76.20 supplement paid by General Motors into our social security has been done away with but the retirees who retired before October, 1979 and whose benefit is provided through the pension trust, will continue for the retiree and surviving spouse. There have been some changes in the prescription drug co-pay as follows:

Retail 34 day supply…$10 Generic Mail Order 90 supply…$20 Generic
$25 Brand $50 Brand

We were told by Region 1-C to prepare and make adjustments so you could be ready for the changes. I told you of this at the last Bingo and Chapter Meeting. I hope you took care of any eye or dental problems that existed for you at this time. These changes took place in the Chrysler agreement and were made in the General Motors agreement and will take effect July 1, 2009. It will cost you over $2,000 more a year.

I wish I had good news but I don't. Let's hope they don't come after the retirees again. We have given up enough.

June 16th and 17th, 2009 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm
Members and spouses only. Dinner will be served at 4:00 pm at the Hall.
Buses will leave at 5:30 pm sharp.
Cost - $15.00 per person

We will be taking the summer off after the meetings in June, therefore, there will be no meetings in the months of July and August.

LOCAL 659 BALL PARK

BRICK PAVER FUND RAISER

Local 659 is selling brick pavers to form a sidewalk to the pavilion next to our ball fields. The price is $50.00 ($35.00 for Retirees) for a red brick that measures 8"X8"X 2 l/2". Each brick has space available for four lines of message with fourteen spaces per line.

Print a letter above each number, spaces must also be counted.
