DNA Kit # 35457

This male participant is not a Locke by blood, supposedly his female side of the family is the Locke.
This participant is actually a Kendall.

Jerry Harrison explains this:

Source: Book of Locke's

The Book of the Lockes, finds a male "John Kendall alias Locke" (this is how he signed his name).

John KENDALL actually was the son of Nathaniel KENDALL and Abigail LOCKE.  She was the daughter of John LOCKE and Elizabeth PLYMPTON.
All of the male children of John and Elizabeth (Locke) died young.  Apparently John wanted the family name to continue and influenced John KENDALL to accept the name LOCKE.

So John Kendall assumed the Locke surname and now we have possibly 8 generations of Locke's who are actually of the Kendall surname. The Locke's descended from John Kendall alias Locke will never DNA match any other male Locke other then Locke's directly descended from
John Kendall alias Locke. So because there is possibly 8 generations of descendants of Kendall/Locke's out there, I will continue to keep Kit # 35457 in the project so any future descendant of this lineage can see that they are actually a Kendall not a Locke.

As Jerry noted, the Locke side is on the female side of the family, not the male side. This DNA project is after the Lock(e) male Y gene, but will except Lock(e) female tests results when they happen.
So in the future if you DNA match this kit 35457, you are actually a Kendall by blood on the male side of the family. DNA testing the Kendall's from the same family line, should DNA match with the Locke/Kendall's. We can't know that until the Kendall DNA project gets more participants.
