Message from the commissioner 6/18/2008

 

Attention all managers, please make sure that any player on your roster that maybe on the 12 game border line, make sure they get there for the required games. No exceptions will be made this season, other than those previously agreed upon(military serves, medical...ect)

 

A MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER: 6/06/2008

 

We have a shirt rule and the vote at the meetings was that want it enforced. 
The  scorer will tell the player that he can't play. If an opposing manager notices 
 it before the game, he must tell the scorer and she will relay the information 
 to the player. If, after being informed that he can't play, he choses to play, 
 then after the 1st. pitch with him in the field or 1st pitch that he takes at 
 the plate, then a forfeit will be decalred. Game will be over. No money will 
be  returned. You will have until the next hour to get him a shirt or. if you are 
 shorthanded, you can wait for another player to show up. 
 If, DURING a game, the opposing manager notices that a player does not have a 
 legal shirt, he can bring it up to the scorer and the player MUST be removed 
 from the game immediately. No penalty except he will be declared an out 
 everytime he should be batting unless you have a player to replace him. Also, 
if after he leaves, you only have 8 players, then you lose.
 If you have a dirty, smelly shirt that needs to be washed and your washing 
 machine is broke, then wear a dirty, smelly shirt. 
 We will enforce the rule.

 

 

 

Some basic rule of the road for the site, they are pretty simple:

1) The BLOG aspect of things will be for the commissioner, I will allow comments, but if you want to bash teams or other players, your replies will be deleted. RI Softball.com is a perfect place for that kind of stuff.

2) PHOTOS, any team wishing to place pictures of their team in action is more than welcome to email them to me and I will be more than happy to place them on here.

3) SCHEDULE, The master schedule that all mangers recieved at the last meeting has been placed on here. Being as I am not the brightest guy in the world, I will not be making any alterations to that schedule.If your team suffers a rain out and I find out when your make up is. I will place those games at the bottom of the Master.

4) Results and Standings: Any League member who would like e-mail their game results, is more than welcome, just use the CONTACT link at the top of the page. I will attempt to update the standing every morning before I leave for work. If I fall behind, please bear with me, as unfortunately I have a life.
