Doug Florzak is founder of Logical Directions, Inc. Doug worked in the IT industry for 23 years; 13 years as an independent writer and author. Doug's consulting experience includes many years as a systems technology consultant for GTE Telenet and Wang Laboratories. He’s an Associate Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) and a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach. Doug’s work has won no less than six design awards from the STC. He’s also authored two business books: The Free Agent Marketing Guide and Successful Independent Consulting: Turn Your Career Experience into a Consulting Business. He's a contributor to several publications including Contract Professional magazine, ForeWordReviews.com, and the SPAN Connection. Major publications such as the Chicago Tribune, the L.A. Times, and Crain's Chicago Business interviewed Doug for his advice on independent consulting.

Doug has Bachelor of Science degrees in Information Science and Business and Management from Northeastern Illinois University. He also holds a Certificate in Technical and Professional Communications from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Doug is currently pursuing an MBA from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
