A little about us

Hi, our family's site is still being build (sort of) we want to build upon what we have from here. We live in Washington State. My wife and I have called Western Washington our home for many years including most of our school years.

I'm currently 57 years old and the proud parent of 4. I'm using this site as a way to keep in touch with family and friends and to post family geneology data. Feel free to enjoy what I have posted and share with me these things that are important to me.

The family

Through the years I have helped to raise four (I have one who is another story all and in it's self) beautiful kids, two boys and two girls. Their ages run from 18 to 38. Between the oldest two I now have 7 grandbabies. The youngest two children even have myspace sites, my youngest son Jason and my youngest daughter Stephany. So look then up and you’ll enjoy them.

I'm also very proud of my native hertiage. We are members of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. We obtained our Native Indian ancestry from my mother’s father Otto Hampton.
God Bless

My work

My wife and I both served in the Active Army (where we met). I completed a career on active duty but my wife finished early due to wanting to build our family.

I was an Officer and enlisted solider in the Army for 22 years (I enjoyed the enlisted career much better than the short officer part). I served in many assignments around the world. I also did a tour in Vietnam, however sometimes I feel like my 11+ years in the Recruiting command were worst. Below is a link to our former unit web site that pays a great tribute to us and those who have passed away.

During my tour with A Troop, 3 Sqn 4th Cav, 25th Infantry Division Troop I was wounded (no big deal, many today are paying a much higher price than I did!

I stayed on active duty for as long as I could (back started acting weird) and retired at Fort Carson CO, in 1988.

With a degree in hand I began a new career with the The Boeing Commercial Airplane co.

We build some of the neatest products in the world. I really enjoy being a part of this company.

Our interests

My wife and I share an interest in Native American art, history and culture. It seems to grow more, as I get older. I have also, found an interest in the landscape around Sedona and the greater Phoenix area. Here are some images that I found very intriguing.I hope to add pictures as I find them.
