Loose Change is one of the most exciting, high-energy bands on Vashon and in the Seattle area. Inspired by the big R&B soul sound of the 60’s, this band aims to entertain with danceable tunes from the 50’s to today. 

The band’s leader and powerful front man Troy Kindred is an entertainer in every sense of the word—and his vocals will tear the paint off the back walls. The dynamic horn section crackles with its tight arrangements. The rhythm section grinds out funky grooves that make everyone dance.

 Kevin Pottinger, keyboardist and musical director, gets the crowd into his old time rock-and-roll boogie-woogie and thrills them with his big organ sound. Luke McQuillin, lead guitarist, plays inspired original tunes that have fans dancing in the aisles. 

The hot grinding rhythm section also features Bill Brooks thumping on the bass and Brian Dougher on drums. The dynamic horn section is lead by Jim Ferrari on the Tenor and Alto sax with Tony Willing on Trombone and Charlie Kipp on the Baritone, Tenor and Alto sax. 

When Loose Change tears it up, it is virtually impossible not to get up and shake your groove thing.
