Profile :
Picked up from the Woodlyn boys, Carl was the first free-agent signing after the Sasquatch's first season and has quickly become a fan and team favorite. His rah-rah attitude on the ice gets his teammates pumped at critical points in a game yet he does not let his temper turn into costly penalties. He was named an assistant captain last season after the departure of long-time friend Dave Lentz. Carl ended up third on the team in scoring last season but had the second lowest point total of his career and no GWG. With so many scorers having left the Sasquatch, Carl will be looked upon in the future to deliver goals and leadership. The future of hockey depends on it.
Career Highlights :
Signed as a free agent prior to 1999 Spring season
Had 14 goals in 19 games in his inaugural season
Scored game winning goal in series deciding game vs. The Scrappers in the 1999-2000 playoffs
Strengths :
A deceptive shot from the right side that fools many goaltenders
A team player, he shows lots of discipline on the ice
Locker-room banter with Holzer is priceless
Weaknesses :
Some would say his skating and stickhandling could use some work
He's Holzer's whipping boy
Caught on film getting a kiss from Tommy Holzer
