Profile :

Tom's career has been a tale of two players, but the best is just beginning as the former defenseman is becoming an offensive force. 'Lego', as he is nick-named, started his career with the Sasquatch as a promising, but penalty prone, defenseman with an offensive upside. His point production increased in all of his first five seasons, peaking at 38 points in the 2002-2003 campaign, good for second on the team. Recognizing his offensive potential, and with a glut of defenseman, the Sasquatch moved Tom to forward full-time the next season, but he would disappoint as he failed to find his niche in the offensive game plan. After missing and entire season with a back injury, Tom slowly started to regain his form and became an offensive force with the Sasquatch, leading the team in assists in the 2008 spring season. 'Lego' has become a well-rounded player and can play the game many different ways, his game has no one great strength, but also, no great weakness. He has developed a good partnership with center Tony Lopez, after Tony's long-time winger Jim departed the team in the 2008-2009 season, and has seen his point totals skyrocket. Much is expected of Tom in the future and he can become a true leader on this team if his play continues as it has this season.
