Chris Martinez

Defenseman - # 77

Born - 9 / 10 / 69 - Philadelphia, PA

Height - 6' 2"       Weight - 185 lbs.

Shoots - Right ( with absolutely no backhand )

Profile :

A long-time street hockey star, Chris joined the Sasquatch prior to the 1999 Spring season and quickly earned two championship trophies..  He earned the nicknames " turnstile ", "turnpike" or "tollbooth" (take your choice) because of the way players go through him at times.  He may loose those names this year due to modern technology and the advent of "E-Z pass".  Actually, Chris is an intelligent, defensive, defenseman whom goaltenders like because he always makes the safe, smart play.  After deciding to sit out the 2000-2001 season due to a lower back injury, Chris has decided to return to action and proclaimed himself to be 100% healthy.  He will start the season as the Sasquatches 7th defenseman and will have to work hard to move up on the talented Sasquatch defensive corps, but management has said that they did not sign Chris to sit on the bench and expect him to perform.
