Profile :
Bill originally started as a defenseman, but it soon became apparent his talent was better suited for offense. An original member of the Sasquatch, he came to the Sasquatch along with Dave Lentz and Bill Super. " Shap ", as he is known, is a smooth skater and has a good wrist shot. After having a break-out post-season in 200-2001, big things were expected of Bill last year but again he could not avoid the injury bug. He only made 7 games but was very effective with 10 points. A Navy officer, Bill once double-parked his battleship on the Pennsauken waterfront ( he put his flashers on ) to make a playoff game then went back out to sea.
Career Highlights :
He was huge in the Spectrum game, scoring a PPG that started the teams second period rally
Third on the team in career playoff points with 22
14 points in 14 games as a defenseman in the 1999-1999 season
Strengths :
A smooth skater, he effortlessly picks up speed with long strides
Quickly became acclimated to the center position after being switched there late last season
Can still play defense when called upon
Weaknesses :
Also a rugby player, Bill takes that mentality to the ice, chasing the puck instead of staying in position
Must have a hearing problem because he never hears people calling him when its the end of his shift
Does wind sprints at the end of a game. Is he crazy?
