Profile :
Nick is a small, but diminutive, center who never let his size keep him from having a great season. For three years he was the catalyst of a potent Sasquatch offense. After the 1999-2000 season he became a restricted free agent and shopped himself around the league looking for a big long-term contract. He eventually signed with Boston who gave him a huge signing bonus as part of a multi-year deal. The cash-strapped Sasquatch could not match the offer, but did recieve compensation in the form of two number one draft picks, an undisclosed sum of money, a player to be named later and a case of Samuel Adams Boston Lager. He will be missed, on the ice and off.
Career Highlights :
At the time of his departure he was the Sasquatch all-time leader in goals, assists and points both in the regular season and the playoffs
Aside from that he's been just average
Strengths :
Speed, moves and tenacity unmatched by anyone on the team
Despite his size, Nick works very hard in the corners, and succeeds
Hustles at both ends of the ice, and fairly good on face-offs
Weaknesses :
Took a slapshot on a forward who was playing goal. What was he thinking?!
With 102 points in 34 games, could there be much else?
