Celebrating 30 Years!
A Message From Dr. Lou Herrin

Welcome to the Herrin Animal Hospital website. We have just passed our 30th anniversary of providing service to the community and wish to add this site to help you to know us better and to be a resource for important information.

We opened our doors January 16, 1978. East Lincoln Street was barely paved and a crooked two lane back door for the new Broadmoor subdivision. We were surrounded by rolling fields, as State Farm corporate complex was not yet across the street. But everything changed, and the community spread east, so that now we seem to be in the thick of things.

Over the years, my best asset has been my staff which have been, and are, very caring people. We make a good team, which might be better described as a family. We want our clients to feel like they are part of the family, too.

We get to see a side of people that few others get to see. People really open up and are their true selves where their pets are concerned. It is a real thrill to help our clients and their bond with their four-legged family members. My partner of ten years now, Dr. Bortell, and I, feel this makes it the best job in the world.

We hope you enjoy the website and put it to good use. We have also provided links for you to look at for additional veterinary information. We will try to keep these links updated to steer you towards what we believe is authentic and correct information. In using the site, we hope you will come to know us and understand your pet's health better.
