Hello! I'm Larry. This webpage is dedicated to the Pontiac Fiero - particularly my 1988 coupe. This Fiero is the only new car I have ever purchased. I took delivery on March 18, 1988 and have been driving it ever since. This car is truly a daily driver. Now, after 20 years and more than 203,000 miles, the old coupe is getting a new lease on life, as we install a Grooms remanufactured engine and new clutch!
In 1998, Sharon and I attended the Florida Fiero Weekend at Daytona Beach. We had a great time and met so many great Fiero enthusiasts. We've been attending Fiero events ever since. We are always interested in meeting other Fiero people.. Sharon and I are proud to say that we helped to organize Fiero events at the Food Lion AutoFair, held at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This is Sharon's 86 GT. We bought it in 2004, and are slowly getting it back in shape. This is a South Carolina car. It was sold at a Pontiac dealer in Irmo, and has had South Carolina owners ever since. We saved this GT from a driveway in Columbia where it had been sitting for 2 years. The original engine was replaced with a relatively low-mile engine from an 88 GT that had undergone an engine swap. (Thanks, Richard!) Now sporting new brakes, shocks, and struts, she just needs the cosmetics to really look good!
Fiero owners in South Carolina are now joining together in the South Carolina Fiero Club. Our 'get-togethers' usually are held in a restaurant parking lot, or around a barbecue grill in someone's back yard. Often we are joined by Fiero owners from Georgia and North Carolina as well. The South Carolina Fiero Forum is helping to bring Palmetto State Fiero folks together by providing an online meeting place. Our hope is that South Carolina Fiero owners can will get to know each other and strengthen the Fiero community in our state. This webpage features links to clubs, events, and vendors that should be of interest to Fiero owners in and around South Carolina. If you are not already familiar with these, please take a moment to view their websites. Thanks for looking! And Keep 'em On The Road!
