An Open Letter to All SEIU Local 503 Members
Members of SEIU Local 503 are contacting other members of our Union so they can learn about the need to recall our elected President, Joe DiNicola.
It has cost the members more than $46,000 in legal fees to deal with Joe’s claims for overtime. He has been asked to resign several times and several ways but he refuses…even after losing in court. Instead, he continues to disrupt the usual flow of Union business with more legal actions, and obstructs and delays Board of Directors and committee meetings. Please read the Recall Information Sheet, the Bredhoff & Kaiser Legal Opinion and Judge Norblad’s decision for some of the reasons why we have lost all confidence in Joe’s ability to be our leader.
SEIU Local 503's Constitution and Bylaws allow for the recall of an elected officer when 20% of the members eligible to vote sign a request to do so. Thousands of members have already signed. Every member needs to be educated about the issues and sign the petition so we can get a recall election and “LET THE MEMBERS DECIDE!”
This is an entirely member driven petition. SEIU Local 503 staff cannot provide support or provide Union resources to this effort. Individual members pay all the expenses for copying, postage, and travel to reach our members. Your donation of any amount is gladly accepted.
Please review all the information contained in this website, download a copy of the Petition Guide, sign the Recall Petition and ask your co-workers to do the same. Mail your petition signatures in now! We are closer than ever to our goal of insuring integrity and leadership in our Union!
In unity!
