July 1, 2015.
While attending the Abbey Camp for one week in Covington, LA, on July 1, 2015, Ava fell and broke her right collarbone. The camp was a one-week event, and the girls attending the camp could not leave during the one week. Ava did not realize that the bone had been broken, so she told nobody at the Camp. Hence, an x-ray of her shoulder was not done until July 6, 2015. The doctor told her that the fractured bone should heal in 2-4 weeks. She had to wear a sling, which meant no swimming until the bone had healed.
