December is always a fun month! We put our Christmas Tree up early, so that we could have all month to enjoy it. Ava helped decorate the tree. We took Ava and Alexander to the Children's Museum, and all had a good time. On December 5, Ava walked the red carpet and attended the premiere of Disney's new animated movie The Princess and the Frog. A pro makeup artist painted a snowman on Ava's face. We attended a Hornets basketball game with Vic, Wendy, and Sophia. Lisa and Alex came to visit. We had the floors refinished while we stayed downtown and were busy with the New Orleans Bowl. Ava is doing well in school; she loves school and her teachers and fellow students. She makes friends very easily. Harry and Jude visited with us while they were in town. The second Sunday of December (13th this year) gives East Jefferson General Hospital the chance to host an event (Celebration In the Oaks Run*Walk) that is especially popular with families. After running or walking a beautiful 2-mile course through City Park. We all walked, including Ava, and had a great time. We once again visited the Insect Museum. We attended the New Orleans Bowl - USM lost to Middle Tennessee. For Christmas this year Ava received an artist easel, glow station, magic wash cloth, a manicure set, and other toys which she liked. Peter and Greg and his family visited our home. Ava and Jackson rode the rides at City Park. On the last day of year, Ava and I visited Dr. Von Almen for a check-up. All is OK. We are now ready to face the next month, year, decade.
