The Nursery School is part of the Family Education Program of the Church. We are concerned with meeting the social, religious, and learning needs of each child within an atmosphere of Christian love. The primary objective of our school is to help the children feel happy and confident about themselves, in a loving environment where they learn to relate to other children in a group, and to be aware of and respect the feelings and needs of others. They will also learn how to relate to adults who care about them and who want to share their love of Jesus and provide a happy classroom experience for each child. Both structured and informal opportunities are provided where all children can ask questions, solve problems, learn to share, and grow in knowledge at their own levels.

Enrollment:

LPSA can accept fifty-six (56) children per year with four classes of
young threes, older threes, fours and fives.  Each class has a qualified teacher, an assistant teacher and often a student teacher from Delaware County Community College.

Things Needed to Enroll:

· A completed medical form
· A signed contract
· Application with $40 fee for new students
· Application with $20 fee for returning students
· Child must be three (3) years old by September 1 and toilet trained

Scholarships: Available for two families (please speak to the director)

*Christian emphasis is nondenominational and gives the children an understanding of God's love.

**We offer a secure building with a surveillance camera in the entryway and a recently renovated playground. Three holiday parties are offered for the children. Christmas and Spring "productions" are offered for the parents' enjoyment. A school picnic on the grounds is held in May, as well as "Graduation" for all on the last day of the session.

The Lansdowne Preschool Academy is working diligently on painting some of their classrooms and getting new floors in the bathrooms. Stop in and see how great they look! Maura’s brother is doing the work for us.

On Thursday, April 10th, Tyler Arboretum will present a program for Earth Day about insects and butterflies. I can just see the children’s faces now!

The Spring Concert will be held in Irwin Hall on Thursday, April 17th at 7:30 p.m. The children are working very hard at learning songs and there is a new dance troupe that one of our teachers recently formed. There will be both girls and boys dancing. Please join us if you are able.
