Tutoring Service
Walt Kehoe has more than 25 years' experience teaching and tutoring children in the Charlottesville area. During that time, he was a teacher and headmaster of Einstein School, a Charlottesville private school which specialized in providing one-on-one instruction for youngsters in grades 1-12. Einstein School served all types of learners with a variety of learning challenges
At the same time, Walt has operated his own after-school tutoring service, working not only in academic subjects but on study and test-taking skills and SATs. He has tutored a number of English as a Second Language students.
Walt has also worked with adults in literacy education and is currently a volunteer English tutor for the International Rescue Committee office in Charlottesville. Currently, Walt is also a tutor at The Learning Center of Piedmont Virginia Community College and is working toward certification by the National Tutoring Association.
Walt's goal as a tutor is to help the student find the ways of learning which work best for him or her. Walk offers a flexible schedule to his students and reasonable rates to parents, without expensive, long-term commitments.
