I believe that the church is not only for the Saved but also for those wanting and needing to be saved. Otherwise, there would be no need for the church, except of course to help to keep your spirit alive and a place to gather together to worship. Jesus said "where 3 or more gather together, there shall I be." Some people believe that you have to be a "perfect" Christian to enter through the door. Is that not what we are going there for?...to learn? Other people believe that they are not "good enough" to go inside the door. If this is you... let me explain what my belief as a Christian is: When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I am saved" I'm whispering "I was lost" That is why I chose this way. When I say..."I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need someone to be my guide. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and pray for strength to carry on. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and cannot ever pay the debt. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are too visible but, God believes I'm worth it. When I say..."I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain I have my share of heartaches which is why I speak His name. When I say..."I am a Christian" I do not wish to judge. I have no authority. I only know I'm loved. ~Author: Carol Wimmer~ We have ALL come short of the glory of God. In other words, we have ALL sinned. "Believe", that is the key word. God loves you and wants you to believe in him and his son, Jesus Christ..have faith, believe and your sins will be forgiven.
