If you have a passion for singing, a willingness to commit yourself to attending rehearsals, performing at concerts,  participating in fund-raising, and developing artistically, the Magnolia Chorale has a place for you.  We have fun, work hard, and enjoy the spirit of music and community together.  Please consider singing with us!

• Auditions

To schedule a section-placement audition, please contact Jean-Marie Kent at jmkmusic@u.washington.edu .  Membership is open to all who meet audition requirements.  The non-intimidating audition is comprised of short exercises to determine vocal quality, range, and sight-reading ability.

• Dues and Fees

 Membership Dues: $50 annually due and payable at the annual meeting of the membership held the last Sunday in April

Singers Fees: $25.00 per concert season fee and payable in April for winter concert season and in November for the spring concert

Special Student membership fee: $25.00 fee only.  Scholarships are available.

Special "Try Us Out" Opportunity You are welcome to try out a season's rehearsals and two concerts without paying dues or music costs.  We are confident you will want to continue to sing with us!

Scholarships:

Singing opportunities are open to all who wish to join the chorale.  This means that financial considerations do not have to determine whether or not you can enjoy the chorale experience. 

There are enough Scholarships available to include all who have concerns. Receiving a scholarship means that the annual dues and musical fees will be waived for you---just ask one of the Board Members for more information.  We are committed to sharing the delight of singing with all who want to participate.
