Lucid Music is a personal web site by Roger L Miller. Reincarnated from the small label/music management/review site of the late 90's, it now focuses on photographs of original music shows local to, or visiting, the Philadelphia area.
HISTORYLucid Music started in 1998 as a musical review site. It began as a narrowly-focused resource to track shows of artists and bands that I knew, played with, or liked. As it grew in popularity, I began helping with promotions for a few bands, and writing reviews.
Helping eventually evolved into leading promotional efforts and consignments for bands I enjoyed. Volunteer promotional efforts included Lunch Box Heroes, Mary Arden Collins, Life on Mars, Broken Jones, and Greg Ralls. Soon I was working with a handful of acts on a professional level.
Reviews and interviews were also being published by other local online and print media, including CityPaper and PhillyMusic.com, My regular correspondence column, "Philly Connection", was picked up by Unsung Hero Magazine, a Pennsylvania Music Magazine, as the Philadelphia regional review.

Highlighting this time were regular appearances at Y-100's Tuesday Night Music Club, Y-Not radio show, and a feature on Music Choice's national 'Unsigned Artists' show,

Road Trip!
Touring included numerous trips to New York and Baltimore with Mary Arden Collins and Broken Jones, a weekend tour with Broken Jones in Seattle and TV appearance on 29 LIVE, and a 10 day tour in the Caribbean with Christine and Company.
I also enjoyed the occasional bass gig with the Greg Ralls Trio. But all these efforts eventually proved too diverse, inevitably waning into the background of my personal and professional life.
Eye on the Local Scene
My recent entry into digital photography and relocation to center city Philadelphia has focused the site's present role. While enjoying local music shows, I also practice my current hobby. Photos are posted for public view and sale, and shared with artists and venues to help their promotion.
This latest site redesign incorporates my Lucid Music efforts and personal sites, acting as a portal for third-party resources, creative writings, and Reiki practice.
