The long version. We found him at the duty free shop in Mexico City. Our tour guide told us that since we only had carry on luggage that Aero Mexico would take the guys as our luggage. When the duty free shop had him package he was the size of a twin bed with covers! We spent 30 minutes before our flight arguing with Aero Mexico about how they need to put him on as our luggage. Remember he is paper Mache and only weights about 20 pounds. Well, low and behold all of a sudden they decided to put him on the flight. We had 4 minutes to make the flight and missed by 2!!! It took us another 6 hours to get another flight that took us to Australia and back before we finally got to Tucson! No really!
