academic and extracurricular programs in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School
District.
In the last five years alone, LVEF has provided over $1.1 million in financial support to
the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. We helped keep essential
programs alive, offering a lifeline during these challenges times as our district
struggles with complex funding issues in the State of California.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our children and community when
we help our school district offer rich opportunities to our students in sports,
technology and the arts!

Charity Fundraiser Sponsored by the American Swim Academy – THANK YOU !

A great, big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the 2009 LVEF Walk for Education on Saturday, September 26!  It was an amazing success and we are grateful to all of our sponsors and donors who helped make this event possible. The event, auction and sponsorships together helped raise nearly $8,500 for the Livermore Valley Education Foundation, proving that even in tough economic times; people still realize the value of education! All school participated in a contest to see who could register the most walkers with the winning school receiving $500 for their efforts.  This year the winning school was:
SUNSET ELEMENTARY! 





LVEF “Make Time for Music” Benefit Concerts
Livermore High School : March 26, 2009
Granada High School : April 1, 2009

Once again for spring 2009 we will be holding our Make Time for Music concerts to support the district music programs.  On March 26 Livermore High School will have their concert which includes performances from the LHS, East Avenue and Christensen students.  On April 1 Granada High School will host their event which includes Mendenhall and Junction students.  Both concerts will begin at 7pm with doors opening at 6:30pm.  Tickets will be sold in advance through the various music departments and also at the door.  Funds raised at these events help ensure our children have a well rounded musical education.  Staff and students work hard to prepare a great show for you, don't miss it!



NATIONAL SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES (NST) ENGINEERING AND SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIPS – 2008 AWARDS

LVEF and NSTec are pleased to offer two $5,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors planning to pursue studies in engineering or science.  Application forms are available at your high school career centers and must be submitted with a postmark date no later than April 3, 2009.  Winners will be notified by May 1, 2009.

Wente 2008 Summer Concert Season
$37,600 Raised - Thank You !

Thanks to the generosity of performers and attendees at the 2008 Summer Concert Series, Wente Family Estates contributed $37,600 to LVEF in support of district music programs. To date, Wente Family Estates has contributed over $162,000 to the district music program though donations to LVEF.
