Please accept my apologies for eliminating all the direct e-mail links in this website. They were a convenient way for you to send me e-mail because all you had to do was click on them and your default e-mail program would start with my e-mail address already inserted. Unfortunately, such convenience comes with a price. The spammers have now almost taken over e-mail and they have software that can automatically search webpages and extract e-mail addresses. Such harvested addresses are sold to various databases resulting in huge numbers of "junk" e-mails being sent to the hapless recipitant. My <"Lparham@hiwaay.net"> address was targeted and before I cancelled it, I was receiving 15 to 25 e-mails a day trying to sell me anything from inkjet cartridges to loans to help me get out of my supposedly huge credit card debt, or a new car or a new computer or things more exotic provided I was willing to pay for it. Even worse, I began to get an average of one virus attempt a day although my virus software kept me from getting infected.
