A Way to be surePlease, if you really can't see yourself as sinful and in need of repentance, skip this page. It will only be a silly offense to you. You can have the assurance that God will not judge you and find you guilty on Judgement Day! We all are sinful and stand separated from God. Our sin keeps us from knowing God or experiencing His love. Our sin comes from active rebellion and even passive indifference to God and his precepts. For forgiveness of sin, the Bible says a blood sacrifice must be paid. But, God loved the world so much that he sent Jesus Christ as God's ONLY provision for sin. God sent Jesus to earth to live a perfect life, and yet die a shameful, horribly painful sinner's death on the cross. By His death, he took all of your sins on himself, and died for them, a blood sacrifice for you. Only through Jesus can you receive pardon for your sins. The plane you are flying in is about to crash, and Jesus is the parachute. A parachutes doesn't make the flight any happier, it saves you from the crash! You must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord by turning from sin, repenting and believing with trust in Jesus Christ alone. Don't "invite Jesus into your heart", or expect Jesus to make your life happy and prosperous. Jesus died to keep you from the flames of Hell! If you haven't accepted God's salvation through Jesus, please do so now! Don't let any more time go by separated from God! Go to a private place, think about the evil you have done in your life, and come to understand the severity and full weight of your sin before God. When you feel truly sorry - in fact, sad, maybe even crying out, talk to Jesus as you would any other person standing next to you. Tell Him of your sin. Tell Him of the shame it has brought to you and to Him. Tell Him you know that He died for you. Tell Him of your desire to follow Him, and thank Him for the incredibly kind offer of His forgiveness, cleansing and salvation. Then believe in Him - that is, trust Him to have delivered you. Then, go find a Bible and read it, and find out what God wants to tell you about Himself. Start with the New Testament Gospel of John. |
