Perhaps you have always dreamed of learning to play the harp. Perhaps you are intrigued by the beautiful, magical sound of the vibrating strings. Jennifer is available to help you follow that dream and learn to play the harp!

She teaches a modified Grandjany (French pedal harp) technique appropriate for the beginning lever or pedal harpist. Jennifer was taught by the well-known Marion Fouse of Portland OR, and has been teaching harp since 1998. Lessons include technique, theory, history, arranging, composition, improvisation, performing, and most important, having fun with your instrument!

No musical experience is necessary, but it is very helpful. Children are ready to begin harp when they can hold their fingers properly against the tension of the strings, starting at about age 10. Jennifer has recently published a beginner's tutorial titled "Hands Upon the Harp," which introduces basic technique and simple Mode theory as well.
