Stalking the Wily Razor Clam

Spring 2000 -

An intrepid band of clam diggers from Corvallis, Tualatin, Seattle and Olympia head to Long Beach Peninsula in search of the shy, clever, fast, and delicious razor clam - actually about 135 of them!

Pacific Razor Clam (Siliqua patula)

On the beach, early morning, NO coffee(!), the search begins.

People as far as the eye could see . . . . but they are no competiton for us.

Three and half hours later, Mark & Kirby emerge victorious.

If this looks impressive, just wait until next year!
