As a plumbing service provider, I often find many customers riding on edge with the findings and pricing of the work needing to be done. It is often a costly repair if it is a deferred maintenance item so my belief is to exercise preventive maintenance to prevent even more costly repairs usually associated with drywall repairs, insurance items etc...
When I work with a home owner, I try to put them a little more at ease by sharing with them what we can do to mitigate the repair process and work toward an amicable solution. I have found that when a price is often considered to high, I try to give them the option of pricing to repair or replace and the longevity of each. This gives them the best options available to make a decision in getting their home back in the working order they so deserve.
